List of individuals who are not required for K-ETA and those who are exempt from K-ETA

■ People who are not required for K-ETA and do NOT need to apply as exception of K-ETA
① Nationals of Republic of Korea and Dual nationality holders who have a valid Korean passport
② Active service members of the United States Armed Forces according to the US-ROK Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA)
③ Flight attendants and Seafarers
④ ABTC (APEC) holders
⑤ Jeju Island travelers using a direct flight to/from Jeju Island only
 ※ ★Currently, due to COVID-19 direct flights to/from Jeju Island have been suspended★ ※
⑥ Transfer passengers
 ※ Jeju Island travelers and transfer passengers are required to obtain K-ETA approval in the following cases:
  1) If the person intends to visit other provinces besides Jeju Island afterward
  2) If the transfer passenger needs to enter the Republic of Korea because of itinerary change (or change of destination)
  3) If the transfer passenger needs to enter the Republic of Korea to reclaim their baggage
⑦ Registered foreigners and VISA holders
⑧ UN passport holders


■ People who are exempt from K-ETA but ★NEED to obtain approval for K-ETA exemption in advance
① Diplomatic · Official passport holders
② Dependents of USFK members and civilian component, and contractors
③ Priority Entry (Business) Persons
